HODA Tools-OMR Studio

OMR Studio is the main tool of the package that does all OMR functions such as reading OMR forms, manipulating data, analyzing data and generating reports.

Printing Optional Data and the forms

HODA Tools’ OMR Studio is able to print any desired data like Date, Accept Message, Reject Message, Sequence Number, an optional data field (for example Student ID on test sheets), the number of the right and wrong answers and the total score (for test sheets) on the forms while reading.

Importing data from Text files or other worksheets

 

Users can import data from any text file or other worksheets to the desired worksheet. For text files the user is able to specify the separator character or separate the data columns manually. Also the user can choose to append the import data or overwrite it.

Test Analysis

There are different types of analysis reports for test sheets:

  • Item Statistics
  • Item Analysis
  • Respondent Report
    • Respondent Item Analysis
    • Respondent Detail
    • Respondent Summary

Item Statistics:

In this analysis some statistical values such as the frequency of field and missed answers, average, variance, standard deviation, standard error, Min, Max, Mean, range, Sum of values and some of values SQRT will be calculated for each question in the test.

Item Analysis:

In this analysis users can see more details about each question. It shows the frequency of each of the answers, correct answers, wrong answers, how many respondents didn’t answer the question and how many double answers there were. User also is able to view the results by line charts, bar charts, pie charts or area charts.

Respondent Item Analysis:

This analysis is the visual representation of the worksheet. Each row relates to a respondent and shows the whole test sheet.

Respondent Detail:

Respondent Detail shows the total value of each respondent in a group of questions (that was specified in HTE), the number of right, wrong, missed and double answers, score and the grade if score scales were specified in Analysis Options.

Respondent Summary:

Respondent Summary shows the value, the number of right, wrong, missed and double answers, score and grade for each student based on the whole questions in the test.

Survey Analysis

Survey analysis reports it similar to Test Analysis in most cases but there are a few differences. These reports are:

  • Item Statistics
  • Item Analysis
  • Respondent Report
    • Respondent Detail
    • Respondent Summary
  • Cross Tabulation

Item Statistics:

In this analysis report some statistical values such as the frequency of field and missed questions, variance, standard deviation, standard error, Min, Max, Mean, range, sum of values and some of values SQRT will be calculated for each question in the survey.

In this analysis users can see more details about each question. It shows the frequency of each of the answers, how many respondents didn’t answer the question and how many double answers there were. Here users can also view the result on bar charts, pie charts, line charts and area charts.

Respondent Detail:

Respondent Detail shows the statistical values of the questions for each target like the frequency of answers, the total value and score for each question, average, variance and standard deviation.

Respondent Summary:

Respondent Summary shows the answers frequency based on all questions and the total value and total grade, for each target.

Cross Tabulation:

In this analysis users can compare two questions with each other, to analyze the co-relation between them.
